Sites or web pages with content related to extrasolar planets

These are automatically searched and updated on a daily basis. The last number in every line is an indication of relevance. This site aims to have always the most actual exoplanet news.

If you don't want the ExositesCrawler to index your site please include "Exositesbot" in the disallow section of your robots.txt files (please allow 4 weeks for update. The ExositesCrawler keeps "robots.txt" files for 4 weeks. Once forbidden paths are kept forever.).  Alternatively robots meta tags ("noindex" and nofollow" on webpages are respected. In order to keep the load on incividual sites low, the ExositesCrawler incrementally indexes all sites where links are pointing to ( = does not searches sites from the root path per default).

In some cases wrong topics are  included in these links ( The parsing algorithm is continually improved. Since today the "title" "description" and "keyword"  tags have lost their meanings - how simple and easy the world used to be in Altavista-times-  the whole page must be parsed (links, table of contents, advertising, dynamic generated content  excluded...).  Multilingual parsing websites for content is a non-trivial task and has always a severe speed trade-off since the count of webpages today goes to the billions. The webcrawler has a very low priority so improvements will take a while...).  Links with non exoplanet content will get eliminated later by manual revision  ( news pages with general physics content or palaeologic/geologic/biologic content relevant to the general topic of this site are included with intent and expressively searched for).

There is a certain supremacy of pages from western countries. This is due to the fact that the Exosites-Crawler is (at the moment) not able to scan non-latin character sets and non-european languages. This excludes greek, kyrillic, arab, hebrew and many asian languages. ( Since greek and kyrillic only do exchange some characters most likely these will get implemented next.) Sorry!
